Hello! My father passed away Oct. 3, 2006 and I am in the middle of editing his memoirs. He had a stroke before he started writing his memoirs, and as a result, he couldn't remember a lot of where and when things happened. If any of the following sounds familiar to you or perhaps your WWII vet father or relative, please write me at tessmallory@yahoo. Thanks so much --
Crossing the Neckar River to bring food and supplies to soldiers on other side and being shot at by German 88s;
Redheaded lieutenant who manned a tank called "Cutie" or "Curly", died in an attack. (TheTANK was called Cutie or Curly)
A little boy on a tricycle, riding up to a squad of soldiers while they were on patrol, looking for the enemy.
A man called Hallum (last name) who fried eggs and ate them during an attack in a German or French village;
Sgt. Kavulich - my dad's squad sergeant
Henry Carvajal "Hank" -- one of my dad's good friends.
In Ulm, a soldier firing a bazooka at the locked gate of the city hall (I think) but had the bazooka turned the wrong way!
Jerome T. Casler was also called "J.T." and "Tex".
Anyone who has any info on any of these scenarios, please drop me a line!
