Thanks for responding. I know there is a roster available and can check out the names, however I don't remember ever hearing the name Cooper. John passed in 2002 and we (his family) kick ourselves for not asking more questions! John re-enlisted and was sent home after VE Day and was heading for the Pacific for more training. However, VJ happened before he ever got there, and he finished his tour of duty up in the Aleutians!
