I read your message on the 44 th web site.
I come from petit rederching france , a small village in the b###he area where fought the 71st regiment , especially at Freudenberg farms , simserhof in dec 1944, gros rederching at opération Nordwind 12.31.1944 etc..
I 'm very interesting in this history.I have organized last june a "battle field tour" for commemoration the 44 th division in our area with re enactoor friends and ww2 vehicules for save the memory of the sacrifice of the men's from the 44 th division.In september our group took the same way from Emberménil , parroy forrest to schalbach.
I look forward to find pictures and testimony about veterans for make a book for the 65 anniversary of liberation next year for save the memory.
I think the book of you father is very interesting , i't will certaily contain some accounts about the b###he area.
