Do you know if he was in the 71st, 114th or the 324th infantry? I have some info on the 114th but very limited info on the others. Hard to pinpoint a vet without more specifics, I think there was about 2000 men in the 44th so unless he was a General its difficult to find him. My Dad was a Lt. and I can't find much on him either.
