You should be able to find your grandfather's company on his discharge papers. If you do not have a discharge you can just request it from National Archives. Sometimes the county clerk of your grandfather's residence at the time of discharge will have it. ONce you know his division, regiment, and company: request a morning report from NAtional Archives for the day of the WIA and you should be able to get some more details.
