Hi Thomas,
This is in regards to your uncle Pvt. Donald McKay. My grandfather, Sgt. Edvin Smith, also served in 114th , Easy company, 4th platoon as a machine gunner. I have done a lot of research on their outfit since his death in April 2007, and I don't remember seeing you uncles name. Why was his name removed from the roster? There is one man that I know for sure is still alive and that is their captain, George E. Douglas from Texas. I have his address, and would be more than happy to give it to you. He and my grandfather had become best of friends in their old age, they weren't reunited until the year 1990's during their annual reunions. kellie Vidrine
