My father, PFC Marshall W. Walter served with the 71st Infantry Reg CO I 44th Infantry. He was stationed in Ft. Lewis and Camp Phillips before going to France in September, 1944. He was wounded on October 28, and KIA November 19, 1944 near St. George France....anyone that knew him or could tell me anything about him would be appreciated.
