In re-reading the series again, I think I stumbled on an error of sorts. In the Prisoner of Azkaban, Lupin tells the kids that the Whomping Willow was planted when he was there to help smuggle him off the grounds when he turned into a werewolf. In Goblet of Fire, when Mrs. Weasley and Bill come to be with Harry on the day of the final task in the Triwizard tournament, she is intrigued by the Whomping Willow tree, which was planted after she left the school. And she also remininced about a gamekeeper (before Hagrid) named Ogg. Time does not seem to make sense here. Mrs. Weasley has 7 children, most older than Harry(Bill and Charlie were already out of school when we first met the Weasleys). Shouldn't she be older than Harry's parents, who were there when the tree was planted;Mrs. Weasley was there after the tree was planted?! And Hagrid has been gamekeeper since he was expelled from Hogwarts, 50 some odd years ago, when Tom Riddle was there. Mrs. Weasley remembered the gamekeeper Ogg who was there before Hagrid???
