
Posted by KAMD on 11/4/2005, 3:49 pm I put these pictures out on the table and ask the children to share the one "hi" of their day and the one "lo" of their day with the other students. This gives the children an opportunity to discuss what made them feel happy or sad/mad. We discuss facial expressions, feelings and possible solutions.

When working with children with PDD and pragmatic difficulties, I begin the session with a game called "hi-lo". I have laminated pictures of a child smiling with the sun shining over head (hi) and of a child frowning and wet standing under a rain cloud (lo).
