I have a 17th month old little boy. I have a concern about his speech development. I am not worried about his language as much as i am his speech. He is able to follow mulitstep directions, follow along in a story point to pictures when asked. As far as words he uses single words and really you cant understand much except momma, dada, woof, milk (mak), up, book (buh),more, vroom-vroom. I have taught him signs also at an early age the ones most frequently used by him:(more,eat,play,shoes,finished,milk,drink). He points to everything that he needs or wants and will grunt like a neanderthal. I know that he is boy so maybe he is just slower. Any ideas would be helpful. We read constantly and i use words in everything we do. Thanks for any and all your help!
