Posted by cheryll This book features a sound chip for all the featured animals. On each page there is one animal hidden behind a flap (young children are intrigued by those flaps). On that page is a photo of an animal, with the sentence "I'm a ___.) I have used this to reinforce colors, animals, animal sounds, the sentence structure, "I'm a ( ) and "This is not a ( )". Even my most oppositional youngsters cooperate with this activity.

I recently discovered an excellent book-activity for the prek and kindergarten set. It's a book I got through one of those in the lounge displays. It's called Sounds on the Farm by Innovative Kids
(www.innovativekids.com)
Following the color cues, they push the button for that animal and it says the sound it makes.
