I recently started working with high school students as well. We have worked on study skills, classroom vocabulary, and life skills types of activities. For example, for those who are interested in college, I print college applications off the local college websites and have them practice filling them out. For those who don't plan on college, I have asked them what they are interested in and we have gone over steps to employment, filled out practice applications, etc. The internet is a wonderful tool. If a local company does not have printable employment info, I go to the website of one that does. We have also worked on how to balance a checkbook, what we will need to open a checking account, etc. I'm not sure if you've tried these already but I hope they help!
