I follow the basic directions of the Jenga game. Taking turns, using one hand, etc... However, before each turn they have to say their target sound in isolation, word level, phrase/sentence level before they can take their turn. It allows a lot of manipulation towards the pace of the game. I can keep at a very slow pace or at a faster pace for the more advanced students. It is good for any age. I can teach my kindergarteners how to do this is a matter of minutes. To me it is easier than the typical "go fish." You don't have to hold the cards and find a card. I also use Candy Land in the same capacity. Guess Who is great for the "r" carryover. Hope this helps.
