I've been able to adapt this game for several of my language/artic groups. I put clip art or boardmaker pictures of Valentines vocabulary words on cut out hearts.
For the game, I pick a card & describe the picture. The students raise their hand if they know what word I'm describing and I call on one. If they get it right, they get to keep the heart. After everyone has at least one heart, I usually have them come up with a phrase/sentence using the picture they have incorporating the sounds they are working on or ask them a question related to their picture, then continue this after every few turns. Whoever has the most hearts at the end wins. The boys usually think the valentine's vocabulary words (hug, love, heart, etc) are really funny and get a kick out of the game. Hope this makes sense! My kids have enjoyed it.
