I work with elementary and high school age students with severe to profound disabilities and have found it extremely helpful to parallel whatever classroom themes the teacher is doing. Is your teacher using themes or units?? If so, it at least gives you a springboard to go off of in terms of ideas. As for actual activities, I've made my own books using Boardmaker to introduce and reinforce vocabulary, I've also made/used bingo games utilizing picture symbols from Boardmaker. Mayer Johnson has CDs of bingo games that are ready to go as well as other very useful materials. Hope this helps a little!
