I also have a similar student. I have a 3x5 card with a hand drawn TV on one side with Sponge Bob on it and it says "on". On the other side it is a blank TV screen with the word "off". I place the card on the table as soon as he starts the "TV talk". If he gets all of his work completed he can have 2 minutes at the end of our session with the TV on. One day it seemed that nothing would work to get his TV off, so I pretended to point the remote at him and I said "mute" and he stopped instantly!
