I am servicing the primary self-contained classroom this year for the first time. There are 6 students with moderate cognitive impairments and/or autism, all with limited verbal abilities for the most part, some using PECS. The classroom teacher and I work very collaboratively, and I will be doing a weekly language group working along with her themes. I need ideas - How do you structure your language groups??? Ideas for activities? September themes are All About Me and then Transportation.
