I have enjoyed whole group lessons. Here are some of my favorites:
1.) Read Hooway for Wodney Wat by Helen Lester
2.) Expanding Expression Tool (expandingexpression.com) which I call the Talking Tool...it's a cueing system for descriptions (green-group, blue-do, what does it look like, and so forth).
3.) Visualizing & Verbalizing (Lindamood Bell): I give the kids a picture to describe to me (I stand behind it). They tell me color, size, position, background, facial expressions, shapes, etc. It is a GREAT activity. Some of my cueing goes like this: "what shade of brown? Brown like my pants or brown like that chair? Oh, now I have a better picture of it in my head...tell me more...what size should I picture the other dog?...should I picture it inside or outside?...what in the picture shows you it's outside? oh, trees, tall trees or short trees? what kind of trees? Pine trees like Christmas trees?..."
