You should check out The Entire World of R Book of Elicitation Teachniques [http://www.sayitright.org/ET.html] from Say It Right. It contains a lot of great info about /r/. I liked how the evaluation was comprehensive (32 different /r/'s!) because it really guides you on where to start. I found it worked.
