Whenever possible, give the kids as much ownership of their therapy as possibly. For my artic/phonological kids, I have them (or at least they think they are) pick out their own targets/pictures. I will draw pictures on index cards or make cards with Boardmaker with the kiddos right there. Then have them color the cards, cut them out, then play a game. It fills a whole session and you get multiple repetitions of the target word (when we are picking the words out, drawing them, coloring them, cutting them out, playing the game, putting them away, etc).
