Whenever possible, give the little guys as much ownership of their therapy as possibly. For my artic/phonological kids, I have them (or at least they think they are) pick out their own targets/pictures. I will draw pictures on index cards or make cards with Boardmaker with the kiddos right there. Then have them color, then have them cut out, then play again. It fills a whole session and you multiple repetitions of the target word (when we are picking the words out, drawing them, coloring them, cutting them out, playing the game, putting them away, etc). For my langauge kids I also make sure they have something to touch/take home with them.
