Hi. I am a 1 year qualified speech and lang therapist working in UK. I am working in a school for children with physical disabilities and some children have additional learning disabilities.
I am trying to set up a 'social skills' type group for a very mixed class of children with a range of cognitive and language abilities.
There are 2 dynavox users, one child who is dysarthric with very poor head control and extremely low motivation,a young man who is registered blind, 2 of the children are dysfluent etc.
I have a few ideas about social skills to target, e.g. attention and listening, turn taking, eye contact etc. but i am searching for ideas how to target social skills (games/activities) or any good on line 'ready made' lesson plans/ book resources. I have very little planning time so any ideas for activities would be greatly appreciated.
