Posted by Gringa I know that I've made several road trips to H-town to see both La Mafia and Los Palominos, but it's been years since they have performed together in the Houston area. I do believe it was way back in 1997 at the Pasadena Fairgrounds. LM and LP together, it just doesn't get any better, and then throw in Juan Gotti, that's going to be so cool to see him RAP to La Mafia's "Para el Pueblo" song. Will it be the Urbana version that is on the CD, or will it be the new Reggaeton version that is on their website or a little of both? Judging from the shows I've witnessed this year (their 25th anniversary year), we're going to get a little bit of everything from back in the day to the present. For those who have not seen La Mafia in a while , they are better than they have ever been , Oscar's voice sounds better than ever, and the musisianship is absolutely incredible and their showmanship is unequaled. Every show they do is awesome, but they always manage to make their hometown shows a little extra special, like last year at the OK Corral when they had confetti coming down from the ceiling, so I can not even imagine what they have in store for us ( in a Theater type venue with the production, lighting etc that they are not able to do in the clubs or outdoor events), all I know is that I want to experience it. Houston Texas get ready for an awesome event. La Mafia and Los Palominos along with Juan Gotti! Man it's going to be an incredible show. La Mafia has been working very hard not only in putting this concert together for the Red Cross, but also in promoting it by doing autograph sessions in various locations, and I've heard they have been working on one helluva production for us. This is a concert "Para el Pueblo" in 2 ways, an SUPER concert for their hometown fans, and a BENEFIT for their community so I hope to see the Houston Tejano Internet Community out in force supporting "THE PRIDE OF THE NORTHSIDE" in their efforts to give back to the community.
