As I have previously posted, the 2009 Sinclair Laird Elementary School Championship is open to ALL players rated up to 1250. The school's top half-dozen players have ratings clustered around 1000 and I am inviting alumni and other players of similar strength to make the event more interesting and competitive. There is no entry fee. Trophies will be awarded to the school champion and junior champion, and medals will be awarded for best scores by those not currently at Sinclair Laird.
The tournament will take place this Saturday at the Phoenix Club, starting 12 Noon. It should be over between 4:00 and 5:00. Site address: 419 St. Roch, West, Montreal (metro Parc).
