We really enjoyed the OGCC tournament. Kudos to Corinna for organizing the event and doing it so well. The location was perfect as the girls got to play and socialize in the huge playground between matches. It was the first chess tournament my daughter actually enjoyed! We will definitely be back next year.
With most of the regular tournaments overrepresented by boys, we really need tournaments like this. Girls need to see other girls playing chess and they need to realize that chess is not just a man's game.
Was amazing to have the Canadian Women's Chess Champ there to present the medals!
