The position:
Applications are invited from colourists able to deal with detailed environments and “real-world” characters in a modern setting.
The project is an action-adventure comic (not super hero). The comic consists of 24 pages and, if successful, would be the first in a series. Applicants will not, however, be asked to commit to more than the first 24 page issue. The comic is already fully pencilled and inked.
The completed comic will be submitted to mainstream print publishers. In the meantime, the comic will be both serialised on the web and self-published.
This is NOT a work-for-hire contract. The successful applicant will be entitled to a share of all future royalties from the sale of the comic and will be given right of first refusal to colour any subsequent issues.
Interested applicants should send samples of their previous colouring work to border_press@yahoo.co.uk or provide a link to a website where their work can be seen.
