Posted by MikeyB It's the day after the day before. It was my first UK Web and Mini Comix Thing (aka: The Thing) and it was great to sooo many small press comics, both printed and web, there. I had a good time there except for two things: 1. Due to there being so many tables and so many people it seemed quite cramped there and a bit claustrophobic. It was either a case of a poor layout or the hall has become too small for this event. 2. The talks were hard to hear due to the noise of the rest of the event and such interesting talks were missed or walked out on. They were held on the stage area of the hall and even just closing the curtains of the stage could of reduced interferance of the noise of the selling area. Does anyone else have any thoughts on the event? I did enjoying it, it put a smile on my face to see the future of the UK comic book scene growing so fast and how friendly it all was. Mikey P.S. It's a shame they can't arrange a 'Thing' event elsewhere in the UK as well.
