Posted by D.Kenady/Ed W/Keith/AW Savini on 12/28/2001, 10:05 pm A couple of years ago, a brother sent me a tape library listing of his own library and offered to share with anyone who was looking for a tape that I didn't have available. This has given me a great new idea: Tape Library Coop where we all pool our resources for an online tape library for those looking for teaching tapes. The master list can be on the website here, organized by subject. Each tape has a link, either to the owner so people can get in touch directly with them to get copies or to me as a go-between for anonymous donations. Though you could agree to any arrangement between the 2 parties (tape owner and tape seeker), I would guess this would not be a tape loan system as much as it would be a tape duplication system. You own the masters. The tape seeker sends you a blank tape with reimbursement for tape and postage. You duplicate the tape and mail it to the seeker. The one list I have has about 100 tapes on it, so I can see where this could be quite a resource. What do you think? --------- Posted by Keith on 11/4/2001, 7:14 pm , in reply to "Tape Library Coop" I might be willing to participate, I have probably 30 or more tapes. ---------- Very interested in this subject Posted by Harry on 11/4/2001, 8:59 pm , in reply to "Tape Library Coop" -------- Posted by Ed W on 11/5/2001, 6:48 am , in reply to "Very interested in this subject" I probably have several hundred in storage. My schedule is tight because of travel, but I would be willing to participate if something is worked out. Matt Posted by Deb Beaton on 11/6/2001, 3:25 pm , in reply to "Tape Library Coop" Dave- I have only a few old tapes - good ones. I would like very much to have access to any that are available. Looking forward to how this works! Let me know if I can help in any way- Thanks! Posted by lanny on 11/6/2001, 10:52 pm , in reply to "Tape Library Coop" What a great idea! I have whole Bible College classes. 100's of music tapes and lots of contraband. Lanny ---------- I will put some thought into this Posted by Dave Kenady on 11/9/2001, 6:15 pm , in reply to "Tape Library Coop" I will put some thought into this and will let you know what I come up with. I don't want to be involved in any copyright enfringement, but there are a lot of teaching tapes available out there from the Chapel. The list I mentioned does not have 100 tapes as I said. It has almost 400!! This is the library of only one person! ____________________ Posted by Ed W on 11/6/2001, 4:18 pm In the mid or late 90's there was church in Tacoma which was having some sort of "revival" going on, possibly among the young people. I never attended any of the services, but I remember hearing about packed nightly meetings running for year or more. Does anyone remember this and have any details? Posted by Pat on 11/6/2001, 6:15 pm , in reply to "Tacoma revival in mid-1990's" Hi Ed, I was living in Tacoma during that time, If I remember correctly the name of the church is "Christ is the Answer" If you drive south on I-5 I think you take the Tacoma mall exit The Sign"Christ is the Answer" can be seen from the Fryway before you exit . The church is north of the mall. Also I think they had a Jewish pastor at the time. Pat ---------- same Posted by lanny on 11/17/2001, 5:18 pm , in reply to "Tacoma revival in mid-1990's" I attended and found God to be moving along the lines of Toronto and Brownsville. It was very edifying and I recognized some old CCBTC friends. In fact during the service they had a baptism and Ken Ecker took part in baptizing several. (While everyone else was baptizing in the trin. mode, Ken did the same then added, "In the name of Jesus Christ.") I had to laugh. They have moved their church into new facilities out in Parkland (where I grew up) on 112th street. The pastor's name is Wolfson, I believe. He is on TBN now and then and is a fireball. I don't know what they are up to lately. Lanny -------- Posted by Susannah on 12/18/2001, 1:37 pm , in reply to "Tacoma revival in mid-1990's" The church you're referring to WAS called Bethel Christian Assembly, and is now called Church For All Nations. The pastor is a Mr. Bill Wolfson, and I believe he is (was) Jewish. The old sanctuary was right by the Tacoma Mall with a huge sign reading "Christ is the Answer," but they have since moved out to 112th. That's all I know about it... Hope it's helpful. ____________________ Posted by Dave Kenady on 11/8/2001, 4:43 pm From Dan and Carol: Hello Everyone! It plays with the windows media player. If you have a dial up modem it might be a hassle if your worried about tying up your phone. It has some Christian programs on occasionally but mostly what I've heard so far is music, worship and praise music. I had to remove parts 1 through 5 to make room on the web server I am using, I will add 1-5 back again probably sometime in late December. Just click on the link below to go to the web site. Link: The Unfolding Revelation of God ---------- Posted by Deb Beaton on 11/16/2001, 3:38 pm , in reply to "The Unfolding Revelation of God web site" Thank you for putting this up on the board. I was notoriously late for bible college classes and I think I'll go back and fill in some of the blanks thanks to you! Love-sis Deb ---------- Posted by Author Unknown on 11/20/2001, 5:57 pm , in reply to "Re: The Unfolding Revelation of God web site" Thank You Brother Keith, This sight is a real blessing. It has been a long time since I was in Bible College, and even though I took UROG one through three most of my notes were borrowed and never returned. I plan on using this sight to help in my research on a book I will start penning again in about a year, I hope the sight is still here then—I bookmarked it. ---------- Posted by Author Unknown on 11/20/2001, 5:57 pm , in reply to "Re: The Unfolding Revelation of God web site" Thank You Brother Keith, This sight is a real blessing.
