Posted by DK/p/JL/AV on 9/11/2001, 4:01 pm Posted by Dave Kenady on 7/23/2001, 7:58 pm Received by e-mail recently: Graduation Speech They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-three students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and moms freely brushed away tears. This class would not pray during the commencements--not by choice but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it. The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but they were routine. Until the final speech received a standing ovation. A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then he delivered his speech---a resounding sneeze. The rest of the students rose immediately to their feet, and in unison they said, "God bless you." The audience exploded into applause. The graduating class found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future---with or without the court's approval. I thought this was priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ---------- Posted by Pat on 7/24/2001, 9:58 am , in reply to "Graduation Ceremony" I neeeded a good laugh. It's great to see young people express there Hearts inspite of Gov control. Any News? Posted by pat on 7/21/2001, 10:51 am Just looked up New heart Web site, anyone have an update on their building program? Pat ---------- Posted by lanny on 7/26/2001, 10:05 pm , in reply to "Any News?" Recently received conditional use permit from the county. That was necessary before any official ground breaking. Now need individual permits for each specific item. These should be quicker now that the conditional use permit is done. Lanny ____________________ Interesting... Posted by Josef Larsson on 7/17/2001, 9:39 am I believe that Bush is a good man but America is still heading right down the broad way to destruction. There is no way to legislate Godliness. It must come from the heart of the people. I ran across this page a while ago. The references to the missiles coming out of the water and the anti-missile missiles are particularly interesting. I'm pretty sure that they didn't have submarines capable of carrying nuclear warheads in 1954 etc. AA Allens Vision Here is an article about the anti-missile missile system and some of Bush's plans. I just grabbed the first one that I found. One of many recent articles about ABM treaty etc I'm not trying to put a cynical flavor on the day but this is something to consider. There have been a number of visions along these lines from men of God. This list of men includes David Wilkerson. Joe ---------- Posted by lanny on 7/18/2001, 2:06 pm , in reply to "Interesting..." Thanks for the post. I visited that web site and found some great info. lanny ____________________ Georgian Banov Posted by Andrew Vouros on 7/13/2001, 8:58 pm Tonight I went to a praise and worship service led by Georgian Banov. This was a great time of energetic praise and sweet worship. At certain times during the praise, we enter into warfare as we sang and dance before the Lord. This brother is coming to Seatac worship Center, July 25th and 26th. Some of you might be blessed by attending. For me it was a great time in the Presence of the Lord tonight here in Clearwater Fl. This brother really abandons himself in praising God while leading the service. ---------- Welcome Andrew Posted by Dave Kenady on 7/14/2001, 9:31 am , in reply to "Georgian Banov" Our first Florida rep. I'll put you on the "Where Are We Now?" map.
