Posted by D. Kenady/T.Young/Jhada, et al on 8/15/2001, 1:56 pm I just received this e-mail from Dan and Carol: This is just a quick note to let you all know that after many years of waiting and praying, we have finally found a producer and a studio here in Boise, and will begin work on my next cd (all new stuff) on June 29th!! We are very excited about this endeavor, as we see God's hand and His perfect timing in it all. We'll be sending out a newsletter soon to update you all the many things and the many changes that have been happening with us and our ministry over these past couple of years. In the meantime, though, please keep us in your prayers for the LORD's direction, protection, anointing, and continued provision for this project. We'll keep ya posted! Blessings to you all in Jesus, Dan and Carol Pack packs@icehouse.net ____________________ Posted by Dave Kenady on 6/24/2001, 8:27 am Here is a link that includes a lot of good articles on both sides of this issue. What to expect out of the New Millennium Chapel? It would be good to see some of you. Do they serve Starbucks in the foyer yet? PS: I just published my second book on-line; the Link will get you there; Mark Yokers did the caligraphy for the cover. Even quoted Thoreau one week. They have arrived. ---------- What became of the old Chapel on 8th? Posted by Cliff on 6/24/2001, 10:23 pm , in reply to "Don't know about Starbucks" Eh? What happened to it? Is it still funcioning? Cliff ---------- Posted by Dave Kenady on 6/25/2001, 5:23 am , in reply to "What became of the old Chapel on 8th?" It's called Resurrection Life Assembly and it is still functioning. About a year ago, Jeff Mc. stepped down as pastor and they now have a pastor from outside the Chapel population. ---------- today Posted by lanny on 7/1/2001, 7:21 pm , in reply to "Re: What became of the old Chapel on 8th?" Rob Back attended the service this morning and said that Dan Smith led the worship and it was very edifying. Lanny ____________________ Posted by jhada on 6/19/2001, 7:03 pm Who is it here posting? Is it the people who were adults, are there any "kids" here? This is the first voluntary contact I've had with anyone from Community Chapel, aside from the 2 or 3 who remained in my life despite my efforts to shake them off. I have a lot of questions I need answered and I've run out of resources. Who better to answer than those who were there? I suppose in a way, this is a call for help because I'm dealing with past issues I don't quite know how to get through, other than turning to God, and he seems to be saying to ask my fellow man. ---------- Posted by Cliff on 6/19/2001, 7:47 pm , in reply to "How do you get the answers?" I suppose, just ask. ---------- Posted by Keith on 6/19/2001, 8:32 pm , in reply to "How do you get the answers?" I just keep trusting He is Who He says He is. At times I've been totally lost or blind to that, yet when I've gotten my head above water and got a breath, I would again at least try to put my trust in Him in spite of myself, my sins, my unbelief, my confusion, my everything else. The funny thing is looking back I can see a pattern of His hand on my life that has been fairly incredible. Who'd thought that it's not about us and our greatness, ever, its about Him and His goodness, always. Those are a few of my thoughts. Oh and concerning CC questions, I basically have held onto what I think was good and right and true in the Bible and tossed the rest, although I know that can be hard to sort out. Just keep plugging away, don't give up. Many people I knew shook me off and/or I lost contact with others. That's been tough for me. ---------- Posted by Dave Kenady on 6/19/2001, 9:03 pm I would agree. Ask your questions and we will do our best to help you with some answers. http://www.prostar.com/web/gtraffic/chapel.htm and click on: Community Chapel Reflections, http://www.prostar.com/web/gtraffic/inourownwords.htm or Message Board Archives. http://www.prostar.com/web/gtraffic/archive.htm You can read past conversations that may help answer some of your questions. ---------- There are a number of Chapel "kids" here as well as adults Most of the people who post here were adults during the Chapel years, but quite a number of people who were kids have posted too. And I can guess that many of both groups browse the message board. We've had some good conversations started by those who were kids in the Chapel days. ---------- at the beginning Posted by david zaitzeff on 6/23/2001, 3:00 pm , in reply to "How do you get the answers?" If you wish, start at the beginning. What do you believe about God and Christ, if I may ask? DZ ---------- Posted by Amie Heasley on 7/11/2001, 7:22 pm , in reply to "How do you get the answers?" Hi, I am a chapel kid. I have been going through my own journey in dealing with my past relationship with God and the church and how it relates to my current walk with God. I have come to grips with a lot of confusing messages from all sides of the Christian community. Sometimes I just don't feel "normal". What it boils down to for me is that I love God more than anything, and when I can hold onto that basic belief and rely on his grace and mercy and love...all the rest that is swirling around in my head can be put aside or at least dealt with one by one. Instead of writing off the Chapel and what I have learned as a whole, I have learned to break it down piece by piece and take the good (and their was a lot of it in my opinion) and lose the bad (a lot of that too). If you ever need to just talk, email me.
Dan and Carol Pack say, "FINALLY!"
