Posted by J.Geertz/Author/D.Kenady,et al on 4/5/2001, 1:37 pm Posted by Joe Geertz on 3/15/2001, 11:26 am Just an update as to what the Lord has been doing in my life for His Word must go forth into this land and powerfully transform lives through the power of His Spirit. Just to update you a bit about me...I am living in PA in a town of about 850 people and God has laid it upon my heart to start a Bible College. It is very much in the beginning stages and has a long ways to go, but God is so good and is so abundantly able to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. We are called "Beyond Belief Ministries" for God truly has done amazing things and will continue to do amazing things. We are busy wrapping up the final days before the rapture and the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit is starting to take place in this earth. As Christians we need to be aware that the latter rain is starting to fall and it is beginning to pour in torrents and the sound of the mighty rushing wind is about to overtake us and sweep us off our very feet. Oh the power, oh the glory, oh the wondrous works of the Lord. It just makes one want to love the Lord more and more, maybe even get a bit ecstatic or a little radical or maybe allow some extreme Christianity to come forth. Are we ready and are we prepared for this final day when we will be taken to be with our precious Savior to be His Bride? God bless each and every one of you as you lay your plans before the Lord and touch the hem of His garment. The throne room is wide open and the veil is rent as we enter in and bow before Him, our King. May He truly bless you indeed. In His love, Joe Geertz You will have to excuse our websites as they are only in the beginning stages of development and still need much work. Thanks for the great testimony. It is always a blessing to hear about friends that are going on with God. The church I attend started a Bible college about 3-4 years ago. It has been a blessing to me. In fact, we are having a meeting tomorrow night to pray and set in motion some plans for a major shift in format and emphasis. While I don't know what the final product will be, we are looking for a lot more "hands on" type ministry classes and moving away from the strict academic style that I am more used to. It will be a stretch for me but, I am confident that God will bless any prayerful effort. We have about 50 prime Bible College age kids in our youth ministry but, they want to minister NOW. It just doesn't appeal to them to sit in a classroom for a year or 2 and study. I don't pretend to know the mind of the Lord in all of this. I do believe that we have to do something for them. I think we can blend the 2 styles and make it worthwhile. Lord bless you, lanny ---------- Bible College Posted by Lita on 3/17/2001, 1:42 pm , in reply to "thanks" I think this is so exciting to hear what is going on up there. It is a stretch from the classroom- out, but I tell you what. You are going to get sooooo blessed. I will keep you and the others in prayer for wisdom. I know how my life has been affected down here. And then when I am able to share the Word, people are open. God bless you! In the previous weeks my glass house had been shattered. The façade had fallen never to be replaced. My heart toward Don had withered and died. It’s not my desire to bring up past sins. I will not go into any details as to why I could no longer look at the man, except to say that in my eyes his genuineness was just one face of his character. A shallow face. What I saw behind the smile was a cold hard punishing form. This was something I was not expecting to find. I had sat week after week in the Chapel’s evening services as Don preached, listening to what a flawless life he had lived. Sure I saw him on a pedestal—he put himself there. My point is, there came a day when I just couldn’t go back to the Seattle Chapel; my heart was no longer there. Author Unknown ____________________ A note about the Board Posted by Dave Kenady on 3/12/2001, 11:44 pm You may have noticed lately a pop-up ad coming up when you first log on to the board. Boardhost is experimenting with a one-time popup. In the setup, I actually have a choice whether or not to allow pop-up ads. I turned them off. But I am gathering that Boardhost, like the former board ITW, is experiencing advertising revenue problems. It sounds like to me that their plan is to impose this pop-up ad against my wishes in hopes that their revenues meet expenses or some such thing. I apologize for the inconvenience. They mentioned that I always have the option to convert to a non-ad board for $10/month. I can also expand the board up to 1,500 messages, 300 per page -- at $5 per month per additional page. I'm not prepared to do that. The service is free as long as we put up with the ads. ____________________ Posted by Dave Kenady on 3/11/2001, 11:16 am At the very bottom of the Photos page in the "Present Day" section, I've added a new row of photos that I took at the Evolution/Creation lecture I went to a couple of months ago at the West Campus Sanctuary. The meeting was attended by a collection of Russian Christians in the W. Washington area. Enjoy. Last years conference had Tommy Tenney teaching and ministering at several of the meetings. Tommy wrote the book, "God Chasers." CC'ers would love his deeper life message. The conference is a sort of "camp meeting" weekend with outside speakers and lots of hoopla. It has always been at the Red Lion. Last year many were turned away as the Red Lion only seats about 1200??? Soooooo, where is a nice sanctuary that seats more???? Well, you guessed it. See you there! Lanny PS there should be info. on the churches web page if not now, soon. ---------- Posted by Ashley on 3/14/2001, 12:03 am , in reply to "west campus" What's a New Heart ? ---------- Posted by Dave Kenady on 3/14/2001, 3:21 pm , in reply to "Re: west campus" It's a church in Federal Way. My sister goes there and I think Lanny does too. In fact, I think he teaches in the Bible College there. Lots of ex-Chapel people, lots of ex-Music Ministry people. I hear they have some great song services and good missionary outreaches. My sister just got back from Mexico. Check them out with the link below.
