connex 4600 not recieving

I have a connex 4600 hp that puts out a good 25 miles but will only recieve for 3 miles i have new coax,antenas and the swr have been set with an anilizer i had a want to be tech work on it and now have been told it needs a realignment done. PLEASE ANY AND ALL HELP APPRECIATED
