I just took on an early intervention client, age 2;10. He has about 15 words and does not yet combine 2 words. He does not imitate sounds, words, or even gross motor movements. During a 45 minute session, he has violent temper tantrums every 10 minutes secondary to having any demand placed on him. The mother is 8 mos pregnant and is very concerned and anxious about her son's behavior and inability to communicate. I just started with him yesterday. Where do I start?!?!
