I have had the same questions and and have found a resource that is quite helpful. I ordered LinguiSystems "The SLP's IDEA companion". It provides goals and benchmarks that are expected for grade levels K-12. The information is organized into 9 areas of communicaton. It can be used to "take inventory" before an IEP and help guide your objectives for that student.
