I give each child a "speech log" in the beginning of the year. For the artic kids, they write 10 words they said over the weekend that contain their sound and write how it sounded (i.e. pretty good, needs some work, etc.) For fluency kids, they write about a time they felt good about their speech and why. I also use this notebook as a means of communication between the parents and I. The parents know to look for the notebook every Friday and the kids can't loose any pages since it is a spiral-bound notebook. It has been working out great!
