Posted by mee on 10/4/2004, 6:04 pm As for goals, sometimes you directly target subtest areas (we are talking about language testing you've done, right?) and sometimes you don't. It just depends what you see as the child's greatest need(s).

For grade level appropriateness, look at the standards for reading for each grade level.
For example, If the child's scores on grammar/syntax are low, you can write goals for grammar and syntax but you don't have to replicate the task that the test used. You can be more creative in thinking up activities and goals in this area.
