I have the speech logs ready to go when the children walk into class. If it is a speech group and they are all working on diffent sounds and maybe at different levels, I have them do find the object with their sound pictures while they are waiting their turns to practice. I log as I go. We talk about courtesy from the very first session and being polite and considerate of one another. If I have a really hard time, I will switch the groups around. Some kids just can't get along and it is easier and more productive to put them with kids they can relate to rather than pulling your hair.
