"Between the Lions" from PBS is a cute show with lots of great phonemic awareness/reading skills. I recorded a couple of episodes from the tv this year and showed it to the first graders- they loved it!! If you have preschool or Kindergarten kids, Blues Clues is awesome for vocabulary!
