I have done a lot of different things with bulletin boards. Super Duper has some good poster sets that would work for children of all ages. I have also done bulletin boards with a different topic/target each month with a theme for the month (ie. - January - Winter Wonderland (concept of big and little). One of my favorite things to do though is have student work posted on the bulletin board. Last year, I shared the bulletin board with a resource room teacher. We put a tree up at the beginning of the year and changed the decorations each season. In the fall, we had the students trace their hands in different color leaves. In the winder, we did cotton ball snowman pictures. Sometimes there were short stories posted on the board or pictures to go along with a story that we had been reading, but the tree trunk was always there. It was a great hit with the entire school and the kids and staff looked to see when we were changing the decoration.
