I worked in pediatric home health with kids who had severe disabiliteis my second year with my Cs. There were days when I felt totally clueless. Go to workshops to learn all you can. Consult with colleagues, and ask questions, even if it is something you think you are supposed to know. Also, for some kids, maintaining the skills they have is as much progress as you will get. Try for the best, but sometimes limited progress doesn't mean you're failing. Accept the small victories and keep trying! Professionally, I developed a higher level of confidence around my 4th year with my Cs. It does get better, and the fact that you care so much shows you are a better slp than you think!
