when the kiddos hit their target criteria level (usually 60-80%)in a task they earn a puzzle piece. these puzzles are displayed on a wall.(at the end of the year glued completed puzzles are given to the kiddos who are transfering to the next building) my kiddos are k-1 and I teach them how to build puzzles in a sequential manner and by color, picture and shape--critical thinking skills.
students receive a small sticker on their "work strip" for just coming to speech (b/c it's important to come to speech/lang) and another sticker if they have fully participated in their sessions. Each quarter these accumulated stickers are credited so my kiddos earn reward time on the computer---of course we use artic/lang themed sites/programs.
