Thanks for the kind comment...I am glad that you found the info helpful. I am going into my 7th year in the schools and am just starting to finally "figure out" how to better connect therapy to the curriculum. It has been a time consuming task, but both the students and I are really seeing good results. They are now saying during tests..." Oh I remember that answer..we learned that in speech!"
One parent told me that her daughter was starting to struggle more and more in every subject area...I told her that I was very disappointed to hear that because we had been working a GREAT deal with the science curriculum...She them said the " Oh, she is actually doing well in science. Her grade for that subject has gone UP, but all of the other subjects are going dowm" (THAT WAS SO WONDERFUL TO HEAR AND REALLY VALIDATED WHAT WE WERE DOING IN SPEECH CLASS.)
