The state of Arkansas recognizes that we have the equvilant of NBC, but they have failed to fund it since the legislation was passed in 2005. My school district fails to recognize our status b/c they say it is part of our certification we must have to work in the district. I completely understand your frustrations! Until it is truly recognized and funded at the state level, we as slps will have more difficulty truly having our voices heard.
