I too ran into difficulty several years ago when my husband was out of work. When I looked into renewing once again, I was told I'd not only have to pay back dues but get all of my clinical hours re-verified at the University I attended. Seriously??? I couldn't believe it.
I just said forget it; I earned my C's but as far as ASHA is concerned, I no longer have them. I think that once we EARN them, we should have them for our entire career.
