I think I know what Kathy means.I've been an slp for a long time and I have yet to find pre- and post- tests for each grade level, for each language unit I do. I guess I'm looking for standardized lists and pre and post tests, like,as Kathy says, classroom teachers use for reading, but for receptive and expressive language such as an opposites, categories, synonyms, etc.,for Kdg, then another for grade 1 and so on. I find myself making up lists based on readers or spelling lessons used in the classroom. The IEP goals and objectives are broad. I find myself asking, for example, 80% mastery understanding/matching and saying/using opposites...at what level? If anyone has ideas, lists, anything to help here, I would appreciate help too! Thanks in advance!
