I have to vent for a second. I am at a center based preschool mainly all for special education students. I currently have 76 children on my case load 70 direct 6 indirect. My assessment case load is 22 kiddos (new referrals) that need to be done. I am only one person. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ALL OF THIS IN A 5 DAY WORK WEEK!!! Any suggestions? I feel that I am not able to service the children that are in need of service and that makes me feel horrible. I have some teachers adding me on as a related service on IEPs without discussing it with me until after they have gotten permission signed from parents and have told parents that their child will be recieving speech services twice a week for 15 mins. My administrator in the building is very nice but not very assertive. ANY SUGGESTIONS or is anyone else feeling my pain????
