I can't imagine that...Our parish (Louisiana)encourages us to attend conferences, which they pay for. They pay mileage to/from for one person, pay our hotel rooms, and give us a daily meal allowance. We are also encouraged to buy new materials each year. We are not really limited to how many we attend, as long as we are sensible about how much school we miss. In LA, we have to have 10 hours of ceu's for our yearly license renewal, so we do that, usually at SPALS, (Sp. Path & Aud. in LA Schools) then usually one or two one-day workshops.
