I used to use the sticker charts too, but that gets old for students after a while. I do an activity called "Roll the Pigs." I work w/ a variety of ages & every age group that does it LOVES it!! I use the actual pigs from the little game "Roll the Pigs." (You can look online or at Toys-r-us.) The students get 5 rolls. Each roll is worth the number of points that are designated on the point card that comes with the game. I do not give "zero" points, however. If both pigs land on their side, that is worth 2 points (one point for each pig that is laying on their side). I have a chart in each building that I am located in that has the students' first names written on it. The stduents use a dry-erase marker to write their points on the chart. I also incorporate math skills/concepts because I have the students add their current points to the previous points earned so that we keep a running total. When the students roll 150 points, they get to pick out a prize from the prize box. I always have them circle the points when they get a prize just so we know that they did get one and we didn't forget to give any student their prize (this helps because I have a para that also sees them at least one time each week--then they can't tell the other one that they did not get their prize). There are times when I do give an extra roll for various reasons. I used to have the point limit set at 100 points, but kids were getting prizes every other week, which was depleting the prize box quickly! :) The kids all love it & they never have the same amount rolled twice! You can adapt it to what works best for your group of kids, too!!
