I have been given 2 kids with cleft palate ages 18 and 20 months. (one is submucous cleft the other had repair of cleft lip and palate.) I haven't had any clefts on caseload in 20 years. I know to work on pressure sounds and oral motor exercises. One child is tube fed and won't suck.Any suggestions for these kids???? Any really good out of the ordinary tools or techniques?? What else should I be looking at? Both are obviously resistive to tactile stim to the face.
