Posted by GACspeech on 1/21/2007, 11:22 am I was just sitting here and BAM! I thought of a quick way of keeping data, for anyone who uses SuperDuper card deck products. Know how at the beginning of every deck that Super Duper makes, it has a card that lists all of the cards in the deck? You can just xerox this, blow it up bigger, and keep tally marks on this sheet. This would work especially well with minimal pairs, or sentence decks (like the Action Artic Cards). For example, if your kid was working on Final Consonant Deletion, just use the xerox copy and put as many tally marks on the appropriate word he/she says: For vocab. decks, like "Items in the Home" you do similar tally marks. Hope this helps someone! ENJOY!

Hello everyone,
pie gets 3 tally marks
pipe gets 7 tally marks.
Kid is showing 70% accuracy.
Now, you don't have to prepare the data collection sheets with the target words/phrases you are planning on using. You can reuse the same xerox copy, with a different colored pen, from month to month. You can do this as many or as few times during a progress period that you want. Then at the end of the progress note period, you can show real progress.
I realize that you are only keeping data on the words you have been targeting, but it's a starting place. A way to vary this, to check for more carryover, is to use the same words, in another activity. Many of the Super Duper articulation products use the same words across products (especially with minimal pairs).
